The Site historique Matamajaw, which is a former private fishing club, is now a historic site dedicated to sport fishing in the Atlantic in Quebec. Here, you will certainly learn more about sport fishing, about the lifestyle of a select club and about Atlantic salmon. Each one of the buildings on the site will make you discover a fascinating universe.
In the main pavilion, you will find five thematic rooms and one exhibition room. The site also comprises an Indian hut and a salmon tank that is unique in Quebec, and in which you can observe the fish in their natural habitat. End your visit at the parc Les Fourches, near the Causapscal and Matapédia rivers, where you can have a picnic and observe the fishermen in action.
