Joseph Frenette, who lived from 1866 to 1953, was a country doctor, a profession that no longer exists. It was a very important profession, because country doctors did everything from saving lives, delivering babies and taking care of the sick in the regions of Quebec.
Joseph Frenette was the first country doctor in Causapscal. His house now presents an exhibition about the important role he played in the region, but also the important role of all the rural doctors of the province.
