Mont-Joli

Mont-Joli

The village was named in honour of its mountain, which offers an outstanding view on the coast and on the Mitis River. It’s in this small village that is located the most important regional airport east of Québec City, from which you can fly to the Magdalen Islands. You will also find here the longest karting track in Quebec. At Lelièvre Karting, two lighted tracks (1.5 kilometres and 450 metres) are available for evening activities. Other than karting, you can play paintball, go in-line skating or play volleyball. In winter, Mont-Joli is a choice destination for snowmobilers. If you stroll around the city, you will discover the “Murmures de la Ville”, a real outdoor art gallery. On private and public buildings, artists have painted frescoes illustrating the history and heritage of the Mitis River.
