From Maine to the Gaspé Peninsula
The International Appalachian Trail is 1,085 kilometres long, of which 650 kilometres are located in the province of Quebec. It starts in Maine and enters the province in the Matapédia area. From there it climbs up and down the mountains to end in Cape Gaspé in the Forillon National Park of Canada.
It is the longest trail in North America! Hiking or cross-country skiing enthusiasts can follow the path in groups or can participate in the guided walks. Several services are offered to those who take the path, like luggage transportation and accommodation.
