Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague is devoted to the diffusion and experimentation in actual and contemporary art. It favours interventions, exchange meetings and the coming together of ideas between artists. It is located between sea and mountains in Carleton-sur-Mer, in Baie-des-Chaleurs, Gaspésie. It favours the emergence of artists by acting as a catalyst in the regional culture background.
For summer 2009, Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague will welcome three creators in residence for In Situ creation. Vida Simon (drawing), Jean-Yves Vigneau (sculpture) and Gilles Pître (painting and digital) will be the actors of a summer full of interaction. Visitors will be able to discover the world of each artist through encounters, observation and animated discussions. Moreover, an encounter of art in sculpture and In Situ installation will take place during the celebrations of the 475th anniversary of Jacques Cartier’s arrival in Gaspé.
Admission is free! Welcome to everyone!
