In this country village, you can visit the beautiful lighthouse and the cedar shingle church. Built in 1906, the lighthouse is still functioning and has a unique wood structure. The rotation of the lighting module is still done with the original clockmaking system (cable and weight). In the neighbouring building, a permanent exhibition will teach you more about the development of lighthouse projectors, their evolution and their importance for sailors. In this village, you will also find several 8,000 year old archaeological sites. At the Centre d’interprétation archéologique de la Gaspésie, you will learn more about the colonization of the region and find artifacts dating back from this epoch.
