The Musée de la Gaspésie, the only regional museum institution on the Gaspe coast, is definitely the place to go to (re)discover the history of our fabulous peninsula. The permanent exhibition " Gaspésie… the grand journey! " as well as the seasonal temporary exhibitions are based on the history, the art, the heritage and the culture of all Gaspesians. The Museum also shelters the Centre d'archives de la Gaspésie, opened to the general public, where one can consult and use the regional collections of archives for genealogical researches as well as other kinds of studies or historical studies. Furthermore, the Museum publishes the Magazine Gaspésie, the senior of Quebec's historical magazines, which will certainly surprise you by the quality of its content and the variety of approached themes. Also, the boutique «La Muse», situated at The Musée de la Gaspésie, is definitely the place where the talent of Gaspe's artists, craftsmen and authors meet.
