Site Mary Travers dite : “La Bolduc” allows visitors to get into a typical atmosphere and entertainment from Gaspésie. The Site evokes the life and work of Mary Travers, the very first female singer-songwriter of Quebec and French Canada. You will undoubtedly be glad to discover the therapeutic humour, the love for people and the optimistic vigour of this woman from Newport who became, throughout time, a true folk phenomenon of national proportion.
Inaugurated in 1994, Site Mary Travers dite : “La Bolduc” reminds also visitors of the large events of years 30 had great consequences on the life of that time. It is thus inside a charming folk atmosphere that you will discover the great dynamism and determination of “La Bolduc” throughout Gaspésie's past realities.
