Gaspé Celebrates its 475 years of History
It all Began in Gaspé in 1534!
Under the theme of “Homecoming”, the festivities of Gaspé 2009 highlight the 475th anniversary of the discovery of Canada by the French sailor Jacques Cartier on the land of America inside the Gaspé bay. A vibrant programme, which will reach its peak on July 24 with a large outdoor show, will offer Gaspésiens and visitors colourful celebrations. A very busy year is thus expected in Gaspé that will bring out music, theater, dance, circus, nature and many occasions of encounter and exchange. We hope to see you there in great number and with a smile on your face. Come! We await you among sea and montains to the rhythm of the seasons.
