Discovering the Sea!
Exploramer is an activities complex that allows visitors to discover the great biodiversity of the St. Lawrence marine environment and the importance to preserve it. Located in a privileged place for discovery, Exploramer gives you the chance to see A Garden Under the Sea, a permanent exhibition presenting a living collection of species and organisms present in the St. Lawrence. The complex also comprises temporary exhibitions on the sea like Mysteries Under the Waves of the St. Lawrence, Belugas: The Next Wave and Eyes Open in the Sea.
Moreover, biologist guides present on the site will be glad to make you discover the marine life of the St. Lawrence and will even allow you to dip your fingers in the tactile basins in order to touch varieties of crustaceans, molluscs and echinoderms. Sea excursions are also offered on board of the JV Exploramer, an 18-passenger zodiac which will allow you to go on a thrilling ecological expedition. You will thus be able to see the harvesting of crab and whelk pots, take scientific samples and even perhaps be witness to the remarkable behaviour of some marine mammals.
